Emily Lam

Emily Lam joined Rosen & Co. as an associate in June 2008 following the completion of her articling year with the firm and her call to the Bar. She practices in the areas of criminal, discipline, and regulatory law.

Emily works closely with the senior lawyers of the firm on complex matters, and carries her own caseload. She speaks Cantonese as a second language and is an asset to the Chinese community. She maintains a high level of energy and endurance through her long distance running, and has competed in several marathon races.

During her undergraduate and law school years, Emily worked as a Social Services Caseworker for the City of Toronto and as a legal researcher for Professor Alan Young of Osgoode Hall law School. She represented low-income clients through the Osgoode Hall Community Legal Clinic and served as an editor for the Osgoode Hall Law Journal. In addition to her interest in criminal defence, Emily has a particular interest in issues pertaining to access to justice and intercultural understanding of law.

Emily Lam received a B.A. in philosophy in 2004 from the University of Toronto and an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2007. She is the recipient of the Ronald Robertson Q.C. Memorial Tax Prize. She was called to the Bar of Ontario in June 2008.
